I recently read Farewell to Russia: A Journey Through the Former USSR by journalist and former Oxford researcher Joe Luc Barnes. Inspired by the book, I published a post sharing interesting facts, cultural highlights and travel trivia about each of the fifteen countries that emerged from the dissolution of the Soviet Union.
