About me

Hello!

My name is Alex and I am a Greek-born, London-based Psychiatrist.

I love traveling the world, collecting beautiful moments and living life to the full (some of my mottos). In the last 26 years, I’ve been to 28 countries. In the last year alone, I traveled abroad 10 times.

As a Psychiatrist, I am a passionate advocate of work-life balance and wellbeing (which includes healthy eating), and I try to lead by example.

Aside from traveling, I also love cooking and baking, and I draw inspiration from my travels. I am also a music lover (most genres, but especially jazz, country and indie), a film enthusiast and an avid reader (crime novels being my favorite).

But most of all, I love writing and traveling.

It may have taken me some time, but I’ve finally discovered that travel writing is much more than a hobby or a passion; it’s my raison d’être.

And this is why I’ve decided to start this blog.

At the beginning, the Traveling Psychiatrist was a travel blog. However, as it grew in popularity, I have included sections on wellbeing, healthy eating (including recipes), and reading, to reflect my professional background and (some of) my personal interests.

To follow my travels around the world, simply subscribe to the Traveling Psychiatrist.

To read more about my journey so far, check out my first post ‘The Traveling Psychiatrist’.

P.S. I also love taking photos; all the travel photos on this blog have been taken by me.
